Read-only by design
Chain Glance only ever sees what's already public on the blockchain. That's the same data anyone can view on Etherscan or Solscan. Is my crypto safe when using Chain Glance?
Yes. Chain Glance operates in read-only mode using only your public wallet addresses. We never ask for private keys, seed phrases, or passwords. We cannot move, spend, or access your funds in any way.
How often does my portfolio update?
Market prices update every 60 seconds. New transactions typically appear within 1-2 minutes of blockchain confirmation. Balance refreshes occur every 60 min on Free, 30 min on Personal, 5 min on Trader.
Can I track DeFi positions like LP tokens and staking?
Yes. Chain Glance tracks LP tokens from Uniswap, Curve, SushiSwap, and 500+ other protocols. We also track staked assets, lending positions on Aave/Compound, yield farming, and liquid staking derivatives like stETH and rETH.
Can I export my transaction history for taxes?
Yes. You can export your complete transaction history as CSV. Bitcoin.Tax offers a Chain Glance importer that makes importing easy. The CSV format may also work with other crypto tax software, but check with your provider.
How many wallets can I track?
Free: 1 address. Personal: 45 addresses (15 per wallet). Trader: 500 addresses (50 per wallet). Add multiple wallets to track them all from one dashboard.
Can I track someone else's wallet?
Yes. Since we only read public blockchain data, you can track any public wallet address. Useful for watching whale wallets or addresses of interest. Transaction exports are only meaningful for wallets where you know the acquisition details.
